Neil de Beer was born in Stellenbosch, in the Western Cape of South Africa in 1968; he was educated in Villiersdorp - a rich farming community outside of Cape Town. Neil attended military service in 1987 and served with distinction in the South African Special Forces, receiving three high service battle commendations for operations carried out in Africa. In 2009 Neil started the first international commodity trade group under the Hatton Corporation Hong Kong, and was appointed in 2010 as the secretary general of the OABD (The Organisation for African Business Development). In 2010 Neil entered into a partnership with Brandon Kerzner, in founding a group named Brandon Kerzner and Associates- this organisation is involved in many aspects of the business world. Neil still acts as an advisor in various aspects of government, and was recently given royal status; being adopted by the king of the Abuthembu- His Royal Highness, King Zwelibanzi- as a chief and prince of the kingdom. Neil is involved in many efforts for the unification and advancement of African Trade. To this end Neil has been involved in a myriad of conferences and summits, and is set to speak at the G20 Summit to be held in November this year. Neil's passion for a unified Africa is contagious as can be seen by the effect which he has on many influential people who come into contact with him, and the enthusiasm which he leads people with regard to this goal can only be described as inspirational. The dream of a unified Africa is one which Neil holds dear, and his efforts to promote this goal are bearing fruit. Under his leadership the dream of a unified Africa seems to be a forgone conclusion.
